How a chemical peel works
A peel is a solution of acids, enzymes, or both, brushed onto clean skin. It loosens the dead cells on the surface so they come away, either with the peel itself or over the days after.
The stronger the solution, the deeper it works and the more your skin peels afterward. Enzyme and lactic peels exfoliate gently, often with no peeling you can see. TCA and Jessner’s peels bring flaking or peeling for about a week.
Light, medium, and deep chemical peels
A peel’s depth is how far into the skin it works. We offer light and medium-depth peels.
Light peels, like our enzyme, lactic, and 5 Berry peels, work on the surface with little downtime. Medium-depth peels, like the Perfect Derma Peel, go further and bring about a week of peeling. Deep peels, such as phenol peels, are a more intensive medical procedure with a much longer recovery.
What to expect
Book a peel, or start with a free consult
All six peels are on our online booking page. If you’re not sure which one suits your skin, book the free consult with Claudia first.
Before your peel
Tell us about your skincare and any medicine you take, especially a prescription retinoid or acne medicine. Go easy on scrubs, strong exfoliants, and sun in the days before.
During your peel
Claudia cleanses your skin, then brushes on the peel you chose together. Ask her anything as she goes.
The days after
Depending on your peel, you may see no peeling at all, or flaking and peeling for up to a week. If you have an event coming up, plan your peel around it.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a chemical peel cost?
Call 801-877-5801 or text 866-485-7664 for current prices on our six peels. The consult with our master aesthetician is free, and it tells you which peel you’d be booking.
Which chemical peel is right for me?
That depends on your skin and on how much downtime you can plan for. Our enzyme and lactic peels are the gentlest. The 5 Berry and Jessner’s peels flake or peel for most of a week, and Jessner’s is best suited to oily or combination skin. Strongest of all is the Perfect Derma Peel. At the free consult, Claudia looks at your skin and recommends one.
How long does a chemical peel last?
Your skin keeps renewing itself, so the effect of one peel fades with time. How long it lasts depends on the peel, your skin, and how well you protect it from the sun. Many people repeat lighter peels as part of their skincare, and Claudia can suggest how often for yours.
Does a chemical peel hurt?
Most people feel warmth, tingling, or a mild sting while the peel works, and stronger peels tend to feel warmer. Tell Claudia how it feels as she goes.
Who shouldn’t get a chemical peel?
Tell us before your peel if you’re pregnant or breastfeeding, have taken isotretinoin (Accutane) recently, use a prescription retinoid, or have a sunburn, cold sore, rash, or broken skin on your face. Some of these mean waiting, and some mean a gentler peel. The free consult is the place to talk it through.
What should I avoid after a chemical peel?
Don’t pick or pull at peeling skin. Skip scrubs, exfoliants, and retinoids until your skin has settled, stay out of tanning beds, and wear sunscreen every day. Claudia tells you anything specific to your peel before you leave.
Can I book a chemical peel online?
Yes. All six peels and the free consult are on our online booking page. We’re at 240 E Center St in downtown Provo. Questions? Call 801-877-5801 or text 866-485-7664.
